For several years I have been providing one-to-one tuition which has helped many people to accelerate their knowledge of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash and the overall design process. Clients have included:

The training format is not rigidly set down in manuals and course notes, instead I offer specific advice and consultation in the area you need help with. I will explain a concept in any number of ways until you are happy. The tuition compliments your own studies - in most cases it ties everything together, fills in the gaps in your understanding and makes more sense of what you do already know. 'Ahhhhh, of course' is what I hope to hear you say!

  • An initial phone call will determine what you need to know and whether I can help. If I can't offer the training you need I will say so
  • No commitment to fixed length courses or ongoing sessions. The need for further training is reviewed every meeting and often one session is enough to point you in the right direction for several months
  • Training sessions are usually no more than 4 hours long as they are pretty focused!
  • Sessions are at your office or home in an environment that you are familiar and comfortable with, and on your own computer

Books, books and more books, the net & coffee

They say you can't learn about life from books. Perhaps not, but you can learn an awful lot about web design! In parallel with any training I provide I always recommend clients invest in good quality books specifically aimed at the software they are using. Reading about the subject AWAY from the computer is valuable - the computer can often be a distraction when studying new concepts. Conversely the internet is full of websites that share knowledge, and forums answering every question you have yet to ask! I offer to cut through much of this and summarise it for you.

A note for absolute beginners

Please don't underestimate the complexities of building a well-designed and well-assembled website. There is a great deal to learn. My training is aimed at those already on a self-driven journey to learn as much as possible for themselves. Professionals learn something new everyday 'on the job'.

Training rates are £160.00 (no VAT applicable) per session - each session is 4 HOURS.

Please note: I am not officially accredited by Adobe to provide Adobe Dreamweaver training. The skills I teach are those any experienced user of the software should be able to share. I have a current full disclosure CRB certificate.
