Search Engine Optimised Websites

I include the key elements of Search Engine Optimisation as standard in all of our website designs and builds. Through good practice the process should always be in place by default.

What can JeliNet do?

My service is focused on increasing your chances of high rankings on sensible budgets. I do this by attending to good practice in page layouts, site structure, element naming, plus the use of keywords.

I don't use software that claims to submit your site to thousands of search engines - that path is a fool's gold and will usually do your site more harm than good. There are only between 3 and 6 search engines that really matter! The hundreds of other search engines on the net derive their results from a handful of places. Optimising a site is a logical process that reaps more rewards than any quick-fix solutions, or even buying rankings on pay-per-click schemes. Core optimisation can be done as part of the design process with minimal cost overheads.

It is worth noting that often the most successful websites are those heavily advertised in the real world. Your real world advertising will produce lots of traffic & usually lead to many other sites linking to you, which in turn weights your ranking higher. Websites for a specialist product, service or interest are more likely to do well, as are ones that concentrate on a local or specific geographic area. These are sites that are optimised with a niche focus and whilst they start this way, they can grow to become popular from more generic searches. I do not promise or guarantee you high rankings. No one can do that. However, I can advise on how to increase your chances of higher rankings. This is an honest approach.

The JeliNet example

JeliNet's website is a good example of practical SEO using a specific and honest focus. There are thousands of web design freelancers and agencies. Look at these results on Google with the 'UK' option checked:

  • 'freelance web design' - not on the first 10 pages
  • 'freelance web design surrey' - ranked in 8th position
  • 'freelance web design godalming' - ranked in 1st position

Customers find me locally and this produces tangible income that builds up business. I started with optimising 'Godalming'. 'Surrey' was always a keyword, however at first it produced poor results due to the competition. As more business directories added us the focus changed toward 'Surrey' which produced better results. More business means more sites and so our market presence grows. It's a good example of a focus on something to separate us from the considerable competition.

Interestingly, JeliNet is also found on the back of many other very established businesses and artists such as EMI Classics and Lucinda Rhodes. This is perfectly legitimate, provided I are not exploiting their brand to trick traffic to our site. I simply mention them within the context of their being our customers. It is clear in the results that I am a service provider and it is clear what kind of service I provide.

If your company sells established brands, or supplies products to established customers & you have permission to mention this on your site you'll find your rankings improved. It's the inter-relationships between sites that create the fabric of the web and is how users often find what they are looking for often through indirect routes. It works both ways.

The Google rules

Search Engine Optimisation is a business with its fair share of rogues. Recently BMW's German website found itself de-listed from Google for breaking Google's most basic rules, which are published on their site. Please do take a look at Google's rules here - they explain very well our approach!

How much does Search Engine Optimisation cost and can you review my current website?

JeliNet's daily charge for search engine optimisation is £240.00. Charges depend entirely on how much work is involved. Sometimes less than a day of fine tuning is all that's needed - other times a total site rebuild would be advised. Please note a rebuild is not necessarily a redesign. This does not mean you have to change your branding.

I am happy to review your existing website and advise how to improve it's search engine rankings, or undertake the work for you. Please do get in touch with me to discuss how I can help.
