Prices & Quotes

JeliNet's prices are set to be as competitive as possible whilst still enabling me to supply professional web site products.

It is almost impossible to place a value on a bespoke website design - you might find an average price, but there are always extremes. JeliNet defines an absolute time for a project. If the quote is 20 hours of studio time then that determines the price. It should take 20 hours of anyone's time, no matter what their hourly rate or business model. Agency rates are 2 or 3 times higher than JeliNet's, which is not unreasonable considering their overheads and need to pay salaries even when work loads are low. This is simply why Jelinet's prices are lower without compromising the quality.

Website design prices

I usually charge on a fixed-price basis for projects. If your site is simple and well briefed it could be designed for as little as £499.00 - this for a typical 8 page site. The larger your project the more you could save because, like many businesses, I discount for bigger orders.

Website build prices (from detailed designs supplied by you)

Typical build costs for a 8 page site are around £399.00 though actual prices are dependent on the amount and type of content.

Special conditions: Designs must be supplied as complete solutions for a website layout in either Photoshop (PSD) Fireworks (PNG), TIFF or high quality JPEG formats. There must be no graphic design required. Layouts must also be scaled to 100% inclusive of text sizes. Where HTML text links are required the design must allow sufficient room for the inclusion of HTML text which is generally larger than graphical representations. To achieve this please use (for links and copy) non-aliased standard HTML fonts such as Verdana, Arial, Times Roman or Courier at default sizes (for example 10 through to 20 pixels). Allow at least 20% extra horizontal space for menus. Finally, site maps must be included and detailed instructions regarding variations in menus etc between pages. Website maintenance rates

Maintenance charges are at my standard rate (£40.00 per hour). The minimum billing time is one hour for new sites and 0.5 hours for sites I have previously updated. This is to allow for site familiarisation and set up on my system.

Advertising banners costs

Typical charges are from £40.00 to £120.00 depending on the requirements.

HTML Email prices

HTML coding & testing from supplied artwork: typically from £80.00.
HTML design, coding and testing: typically from £120.00

All prices are inclusive of project management overheads - emails, backups, phone calls to you and any third parties and postage of assets (where applicable).

Hosting charges

Typically £30.00 to £60.00 per year inclusive of a domain name. Please see the Hosting section for more details.
