JeliNet has gradually transformed from a Programming & Post Production Recording facility to a web design service. I have retained the skills and a selection of tools to offer the following services, either independently or to enhance your websites.

Mixing & Editing

Demos are recorded on a tight budget. Mixes are usually made right away at the end of the recording session. It's only weeks later you begin to notice things could have been done differently - that's when I step in with a fresh pair of ears. Maybe you have recorded your work at home on a digital audio workstation?

I can take your individual tracks and process them with both the tools and experience from thousands of hours of mixing to breathe new life into your music. It's part production, part editing, part mixing and part mastering. All these skills are used on each part of the song and brought together into a cohesive mix. I have thousands of hours of mixing experience. Most of our work focuses on preparing each individual track to be the best it can before mixing. I then apply spectral mixing techniques to ensure each instrument sits exactly where is should be.

I have achieved minor miracles on some dodgy recordings! Although capturing a sound is a vital art and skill, much can be improved in the post production stage.

All our mix sessions are unattended partly due to the size of our studio and partly because I work best this way! It suits some people and not others. I find it makes for more objective decisions in the mix. The progress of your mix can be heard via high quality mp3 downloads and then delivered on CD.

I use Sonar, Soundfordge and a host of professional plug-ins to process your audio with monitoring through Digidesign audio interfaces.

Audio Restoration

Our audio restoration service focuses on cleaning up old recordings, in particular your aging demos. Although its not rocket science to record tapes into a computer and produce CDs, it's what I do once the audio is inside the computer that makes for a professional service.

Mastering Services

JeliNet mastering is aimed at musicians on a tight budget. Typical processes applied (where needed) are: DC Offset, Click removal, Noise Reduction, Phase correction, Bass enhancement, Multiband Compression, Equalisation, Level Maximisation and Top & Tailing. I can also undertake editing on some mixes to correct playing errors.

Recordings can be accepted on DAT, Cassette and CD. Please note: all mastering sessions are unattended.

Audio Services Prices

All audio services are charged at £30.00 per hour (no VAT). Fixed prices are available on all large projects by quotation.

Typical mixing prices per track are between £60.00 and £90.00 depending on the level of complexity and processing required.

Typical mastering costs are £90.00 for a 3 track demo. This includes one reference data CD and one PQ encoded audio CD, or the option of ftp transfer of final wav files for download. Each additional CD copy is £5.00 with reduced rates for larger numbers of copies.
